Designed and built for a project in Environmental Systems II.
A simple method of alternating chopsticks while weaving string creates a lantern for villages in China affected by mudslides.
The project was to pick a resource that these villages could easily obtain and to design a lighting fixture.
Images are of the lantern when (1) using candle, (2) halogen bulb, (3) regular light bulb.
